The name comes from the size of the paper commonly used in the at-a-glance project report to communicate project status.A3 thinking is a disciplined problem-solving approach that uses PDCA logic to deeply understand problems, align people, and develop effective countermeasures.An A3 report is a single-page visual document used to communicate problem-solving, improvement, or decision-making using A3 thinking and PDCA structure. It is the one-page document (typically 11×17 paper) that captures and communicates A3 thinking.
