This is a user-level, quick course with a check ride to certify that the user has a basic understanding of what an A3 Report is, and how it is used. It is designed to help them be a more effective member of an A3 project team.<h4 id="36cfb877-6b72-42f2-8993-c5619b58a16e" data-toc-id="36cfb877-6b72-42f2-8993-c5619b58a16e" style="font-size: 18px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">What is A3 Thinking/A3 Report?</h4>A3 Thinking is a powerful tool. The name comes from the size of the paper commonly used in the at-a-glance project report to communicate project status.A3 thinking is a disciplined problem-solving approach that uses PDCA logic to deeply understand problems, align people, and develop effective countermeasures.An A3 report is a single-page visual document used to communicate problem-solving, improvement, or decision-making using A3 thinking and PDCA structure. It is the one-page document (typically 11×17 paper) that captures and communicates A3 thinking.
