<p>Hello and welcome!</p><p>You have found your way to the latest iteration of Continuous Improvement Central.</p><p>Just to recap, we’ve evolved along with technology to try to keep giving you the best experience we can…</p><h3 id="8fb44291-d9de-41eb-91a8-cc10dc6ec9a3" data-toc-id="8fb44291-d9de-41eb-91a8-cc10dc6ec9a3" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2008ish: Started as a Consulting Company</strong></h3><p>We started Velaction Continuous Improvement primarily as a consulting company, but soon realized there was a demand for our training materials.</p><h3 id="f20f9be0-c2a3-4e54-85a0-54d405af1923" data-toc-id="f20f9be0-c2a3-4e54-85a0-54d405af1923" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2009ish: First Shopping Cart Added</strong></h3><p>We started selling our products on an early shopping cart system. It worked OK by the standards of the time, but it didn’t have many bells and whistles.</p><h3 id="e1e2d1f2-569c-4c6b-9551-1c516b8b3a19" data-toc-id="e1e2d1f2-569c-4c6b-9551-1c516b8b3a19" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2010ish: Became Training Provider with DVDs/Lean Training System</strong></h3><p>We started selling DVDs of our Lean Training System. We still have some of these videos on YouTube and in our LTS Legacy video library (available on this new platform for members). It was a great trainining tool at the time, and the content is still applicable in most cases, but the medium has not aged well.</p><h3 id="ee9c0d34-4288-43d5-b038-0ac07b179ebb" data-toc-id="ee9c0d34-4288-43d5-b038-0ac07b179ebb" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2018: First Streaming System</strong></h3><p>We launched a short-lived attempt at a Netflix-style service. The platform was great at video, but we didn’t have much luck with all the other content we wanted to offer.</p><h3 id="7e4a21d3-c62d-488f-8aef-21aeea88cb0c" data-toc-id="7e4a21d3-c62d-488f-8aef-21aeea88cb0c" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2021</strong></h3><h4 id="2e002aac-440f-4169-9de0-3b181901fc50" data-toc-id="2e002aac-440f-4169-9de0-3b181901fc50" style="font-size: 18px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>Training Platform</strong></h4><p>We found our first true purpose-designed training platform. It opened up a whole new way to serve you. There were some limits on how this platform handled subscriptions, but overall, we learned a lot about how to create training products. The learning curve was steep, though, and we spent more time on systems than on developing content.</p><h4 id="27171ae8-4860-4f46-af48-0e5bc4cbed75" data-toc-id="27171ae8-4860-4f46-af48-0e5bc4cbed75" style="font-size: 18px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>Shopping Cart</strong></h4><p>We did a major upgrade on our shopping cart. Our previous cart was mired in old tech, and the new system was night and day compared to the old one.</p><h3 id="a7936cae-b23b-4f70-9b1f-41275d687d0c" data-toc-id="a7936cae-b23b-4f70-9b1f-41275d687d0c" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2023: Upgraded our Platform</strong></h3><p>We found a platform that suited our needs better, and we were able to focus a lot more on creating content. And we rolled out a lot of it. The wealth of information we managed to create was impressive, if we do say so ourselves.</p><h3 id="11f4b9f8-411a-4bd1-83f3-e0455cbf240e" data-toc-id="11f4b9f8-411a-4bd1-83f3-e0455cbf240e" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>2025-2026: Upgraded our Platform to Improve B2B Options (&amp; MUCH more!)</strong></h3><p>Having been with two different services, we learned a lot about what we wanted, what we didn’t really need, and what would help us serve you better. Our platform made some exciting changes, but unfortunately, their implementation bogged down. We had kind of ‘leaned forward in the saddle’ and made some big changes that were designed to be ready for the update, but it just ended up being a big setback. We also moved our company from Seattle to Chicago, so the year ended up being far from our best.</p><p>But…</p><p>Being frustrated sometimes forces you to explore other options. We found yet another platform that, as it turns out, seems to have been listening to everything I ever said I wanted in the last one.</p><ul><li><p>A sitewide search function…check.</p></li><li><p>A system to manage our massive reference guide…check.</p></li><li><p>An integrated cart for our physical products and school…coming soon.</p></li><li><p>Coaching tools to guide teams through ‘how to’ training…check.</p></li><li><p>Audio and video libraries…check.</p></li><li><p>Mobile app access…check.</p></li><li><p>Integrated webinars and live training…check.</p></li><li><p>Integrated appointment system for scheduling support…check.</p></li><li><p>Improved communities and chat…check.</p></li><li><p>Better means of delivering digital downloads…check.</p></li></ul><p>And most importantly, a system where we could offer you company accounts to manage and train your own teams. The last platform was really limited in what we could do.</p><p>So, we have been working lately on getting migrated again to our newest training platform. It is hard to envision us moving again, since this one has pretty much everything we’ve wanted.</p><p>That’s what we’ve been up to. Glad you are here to join us on this next exciting adventure in continuous improvement.</p><p></p><h3 id="a4f55035-322d-4dc1-85c6-4c5d48516ff0" data-toc-id="a4f55035-322d-4dc1-85c6-4c5d48516ff0" style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;"><strong>WHAT’S NEXT?</strong></h3><p>We are in the process of migrating all of our content over from our old platform and working all the bugs out as we learn the ins and outs of the new system. We’ll run both concurrently for a bit, so if you were a member over there, you’ll keep access as we ramp up the new location.</p><p>This could take a few months—we have A LOT of content, and we are going to polish it up a bit as we migrate it over.
